Well, this little adventure seems to be on. And it goes something like this:
August 10, 2008 - Terry, Terry and Meryck (and maybe KitKat) will be leaving our little home in Victoria, Canada to spend about a year in Europe. It's something we've wanted to do for a while, but only now are we actually thinking it's going to happen.

Boy Terry's company has been talking about a project in Greece, and after a few weeks of dropping the hint that we'd like to open the "European Office", it looks like it may happen. I spoke with my boss last week, and surprise of surprises - the timing may be good for me to continue working, too! These are good things, because otherwise we both would have had to look for work BEFORE we left Canada. We don't qualify for a 'working holiday' in the EU, and since we can't prove that we are financially able to live for the whole time we're there without working, they probably wouldn't have let us in to the country!!

So we will use this site to keep family and friends up to date on our plans, and then to share stories and pictures from Europe once we're gone. (Cheaper than a stamp!)

Until then, we'll be spending some time on this site looking for a flat to rent (once we figure out exactly WHERE we'll be settling!!)
