Isn't that the name of an Arnold movie? Or was it a Sandra Bullock movie? Whatever.
Anyway, lots of little jobs left to do, but we have passed one major milestone - the Karaoke Kegger was last weekend. It was, as usual, a lot of fun. About 65 people came, but we missed some of our regulars because my invitation went out pretty late. (Sorry Leanne and Cindy and anyone else who MIGHT have been able to come with more notice!)

So back to preparations for Italy. We thought we found a place in Milan - it was a beautiful 2 bedroom apartment near the city centre for a very reasonable price. So we filled out the application form and were approved (yay!), but then the guy asked us to send the first month's rent to his lawyer. By Western Union. To Nigeria! ummm.. no thanks!
So now we've contacted a few rental agencies, and we're keeping our fingers crossed because it's getting VERY LATE to apply!
We've posted a rental ad on craigslist to find someone to rent our bedroom for August 1. Terry and I will have to move up to Meryck's room at that point, or maybe stay with the Fiebers - we'll see.
Our drywaller nightmare continues, the guy promised to call us a few times in the last couple of weeks, but has never called at all. The last I talked to him was on Wednesday, and he said he'd call Thursday night to make arrangements to get his crew into our house for either Friday or Monday. Didn't hear from him on Thursday, didn't show Friday, left him another message on Friday but haven't heard. We have our fingers crossed that he will call or show up tomorrow. Wish us luck!! Then we're going to attempt tiling... We'll have to post pictures of that, because I have a feeling it will be pretty funny!!
Well, back to work, we've got doorknobs to install and piles to make (take, store, donate, garbage)

Yipes! I'd be a little nervous that you sent someone like that all your other info...what a creapo! Sorry it didn't work out - I guess it just means something better is waiting to happen out there!
Luckily (and oddly) enough, he didn't ask for any financial information.
Our fingers are definitely crossed for "something better"!
