17 Days to go

OK, what's on the checklist.. let's see.

• Find a renter for our bedroom. Check!
  
• Find a place to live in Italy. Check - we think..
  
• Find someone to tile the downstairs bathroom. Check
  
• Take a weekend off to go partying in Nanaimo. Check!
  

Well, that last thing might not be smartest thing we ever did, but we're doing it anyway. We're heading up island tomorrow to spend the weekend in a friend's parent's place on the beach. Hot tub, drinking and bathtub races! Who could ask for anything more.

About the other stuff on the list - it's all true. We have a girl moving into the house in August. She's a student and she seems really nice. Her and Clarissa got along really well, and most importantly, she loves our dog!

And we're about 90% sure that we have a place to live, as long as the owner can arrange to get us high-speed internet. It's in Umbria, and it's so darn cute!! Have a look at the pictures. We only have it until the end of September, so after that we'll be looking again. Umbria seems a little remote, so after that we may try to find something in a bigger city.

The drywaller is mostly done the bathroom (he's apparently in no hurry to COMPLETE the job, but at least the inside is done enough that we can start tiling). We were going to tile it ourselves, but then we started looking at the other things we still need to do. Don't worry, we're not outsourcing EVERYTHING!
